We know insurance is complicated and often is not explained before you purchase it.  At the Frazer Agency, we strive to explain coverage and allow you to make educated decisions about your personal insurance choices.  The following is a breakdown of auto insurance coverages with explanations of what each coverage offers.

Comprehensive Coverage:  This covers fire, theft, vandalism and glass breakage.  It pays for damages to your car, less any deductible, caused by something other than collision or upset.

Collision Coverage:  Pays for damages to your car, less any deductible, caused by collision with another car or object; or by upset.

Auto Liability:  This has three parts:

1.  Bodily Injury

Bodily Injury liability pays out when you are responsible for injury to others.  Underinsured/Uninsured motorist liability is bodily injury liability that pays for hospital costs and other medical expenses for bodily injury to you and others in you auto, when injury is caused by an uninsured/underinsured motorist.

2.  Property Damage

Property Damage liability pays a claim if you are responsible for damage to another’s auto or property.  This could be anything from a car to someone’s mailbox to driving your car through someone’s living room.  Property damage is very important coverage which many people are underinsured for presently.

3.  Medical Payments

Medical payments pay for certain expenses sustained by you or others whiles occupying your auto, regardless of fault.

There are other optional coverages that will enhance your auto insurance.  Towing and Labor offers a certain amount of reimbursement per disablement for towing.  Originally Manufactured Parts provides originally manufactured parts for your vehicle without questions.  No after-market or used parts will be used to fix a damaged vehicle.  Glass coverage allows repairs to broken glass on the vehicle without being subject to the comprehensive deductible.
